This antique mechanical doorbell was patented in 1872. The brass cover has a beautiful Victorian design that features sixteen unique panels that radiate around the central sundial. The base is cast iron with picket fencing. The handsome pull is cast bronze, bears an aesthetic Victorian design, and has developed a dark hue. This doorbell, which produces a medium-pitched "bong", is in excellent working condition and is ready to be installed on your door. Stunning way to greet your guests.
Bell base measures 4 7/8" diameter (5 3/8" across screw holes). Twist base is 1 7/8" in diameter. Rod which connects the bell to the twist through your door will accomodate a 2 1/8" thick door.
