Stunning set - these matched pieces were made by Reading Hardware and have a patent date of 1886 on the backs of the plates. Their designs are intricate and precise, with ropes and acanthus leaves edged by flat borders. The heavy drum-form knobs also have an overlapping scale patten around the sides. Cast bronze, these pieces have varying degreees of brightness to the patina and are in excellent condition. The swinging keyhole plate is original and intact.
Entry doorplate measures 2 1/2" by 11". Inner doorplate is 2 1/8" by 7 3/8". Doorknobs are 2 1/4" diameter.
